A well-established community hospital in Rome, New York is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join its growing Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist.
This is a 100% inpatient opportunity offering a manageable nightly census, strong subspecialty support, and 24/7 intensivist coverage in an open ICU model. Ideal for physicians seeking a focused inpatient practice with strong clinical support and career stability.
New graduates who are Board Eligible within 1 year are welcome to apply.Job Responsibilities
• Perform admissions from ED and direct referrals
• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical management
• Cover open ICU with 24/7 intensivist consultation
• Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
• Collaborate with nursing, specialists, and case management
• Participate in quality improvement and hospital initiatives
• Document accurately within EMR system
Qualifications
• Board Eligible (within 1 year) or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Active NY Medical License (or ability to obtain)
• DEA Certification
• Clean malpractice and license history
• 1 year hospitalist/nocturnist experience preferred
• Not accepting visa candidates
