We are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a Hospitalist opportunity in Brattleboro, Vermont. This role offers the chance to practice comprehensive inpatient medicine in a collaborative hospital environment serving a close-knit community.

  • Specialty: Hospitalist (Internal Medicine / Family Medicine)

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Procedures: None required

  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary care team

๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ Clinical Responsibilities

  • Manage hospital admissions, daily rounding, and discharges

  • Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Provide ventilator management

  • Respond to codes and rapid response situations

  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies

  • Coordinate care with specialists, emergency physicians, respiratory therapy, CRNAs, and nursing teams

  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR

  • Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up

  • Participate in clinical rounds, hospital committees, and quality initiatives

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

  • Active Vermont medical license required

  • DEA required prior to start

  • BLS and ACLS certifications

  • Ventilator management experience

  • Experience running codes

  • Clean malpractice history

  • NPDB Self Query report required at presentation

  • Candidates must live within one hour of the hospital

  • 2โ€“3 years of Hospitalist experience

  • Rural healthcare experience
