Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join an established outpatient practice in a full-time role with Medical Director responsibilities. This position combines clinical care with leadership, providing oversight of clinical operations while ensuring high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients.

Serve as Medical Director, providing clinical oversight and leadership.

Establish and maintain clinical protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.

Supervise and support Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

Manage an established patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice growth.
Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care to adult patients.
Manage an established patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management.
Establish and oversee clinical protocols and standards of care.
Conduct periodic chart reviews and ensure clinical quality.
Supervise and provide oversight to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, as applicable.
Participate in call rotation, if required.
Regulatory and Compliance
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state regulatory requirements.
Maintain oversight of prescribing practices and clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare laws and regulations, including Stark Law and Ant
Kickback Statute.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities
Serve as Medical Director, providing clinical leadership and governance.
Support operational improvements and clinical workflow optimization.
Collaborate in recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of providers.
Provide leadership to ensure quality patient care and practice efficiency.
Support long-term strategic growth and sustainability of the practice.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Active state medical license or eligibility for licensure.
Valid DEA registration.
Minimum 3–10 years of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
Prior leadership, supervisory, or private practice experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
