📍 Position Highlights

• 🕖 Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

• 🔄 Rotating weekends

• 📞 Rotating call schedule

• 🏥 61-bed community hospital

• 👩‍⚕️ Strong specialty backup support

• ❌ No procedures required

🩺 Your Responsibilities

As a Hospitalist, you will:

• Manage inpatient admissions, daily rounding, and discharges

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions

• Provide ventilator management

• Respond to codes and rapid response situations

• Collaborate with specialists, emergency physicians, CRNAs, respiratory therapy, and nursing teams

• Coordinate transitions of care and discharge planning

• Interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics

• Document thoroughly and timely in the EMR

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees

This role offers strong interdisciplinary collaboration and a mission-driven environment focused on patient-centered care.

✅ Requirements

• MD or DO from accredited medical school

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (IM or FM)

• Active Vermont Medical License

• DEA (required prior to start)

• BLS & ACLS Certifications

• Ventilator management experience

• Experience running codes

• 2–3 years Hospitalist experience (highly preferred)

• Rural health experience (preferred)

• Clean malpractice history

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days)

• ❌ Must reside within 1 hour commute
