Job Opportunity: Locum General Medicine Physician in Houston, TX
We are currently seeking passionate General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans. This role provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values the health and well-being of those who have served our country. You may opt for a per diem position at a facility or utilize your own office, provided it is within close proximity to Houston, TX.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based exams alongside some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluation.
- Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Participate in a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- No prescribing or treatment of patients is required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in relevant medical specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine).
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluation, and diagnosis of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Active and unrestricted full medical license.
- Commitment to complete DMA training for DMA certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active medical license in Texas.
- Certification from AANP required.
- Compliance with additional reporting and documentation standards as outlined.
