Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team working to support our nation's Veterans in Houston, TX! This opportunity is ideal for General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. You can choose between working per diem at a VES facility or at your own office, as long as it's located within a 50-mile radius of Houston.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based assessments supplemented by physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Manage administrative requirements post-exam, including report submissions and addendums.
- Complete initial training and perform first exams to qualify for a one-time bonus.
- Work on a PRN basis, with the option to take ½ day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) shifts.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular issues.
- Possess AANP Certification.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must have an active and unrestricted medical license.
- DMA certification is required; willingness to complete training is necessary.
