Locum - Physician - General Medicine

Summary:

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in the vibrant city of Pensacola, Texas! This unique opportunity involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's veterans. Enjoy the flexibility of PRN work with options for half-day or full-day shifts, all while contributing to an essential service for veterans in your community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Carrying out patient interviews and performing physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Completing standardized forms for reporting and documenting exams within 48 hours.
• Utilizing a goniometer for physical assessments.
• Evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
• Reviewing medical records as necessary.
• Participating in ongoing training and certification processes as required.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Proficiency in METs testing and understanding of musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular health.
• Ability to complete DMA training to gain certification.
• Own a personal laptop (no Mac products).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current medical license from the state of Texas.
• Board Certification relevant to the role.
• ECFMG certificate if applicable (for international medical graduates).
