Locum - Internal Medicine - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine

This position involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Veterans Evaluation Services is focused on providing essential support for those who have served.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Work PRN, with options for ½ day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours).
• Complete required documentation and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Maintain clear communication with administrative staff regarding follow-up work.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted full medical license.
• Ability to complete DMA training and become DMA certified.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine with familiarity in compensation and pension processes.
• Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid medical license in Texas.
• AANP certification is required.
