Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team serving our nation's Veterans in Houston, TX, with opportunities to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This locum position offers the flexibility to work either at a Veterans Evaluation Services facility or from your own office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations, with some physical assessments like range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete administrative work including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics during scheduled shifts.
• Maintain effective communication with Veterans and staff to ensure quality care delivery.
• Manage a flexible schedule on a PRN basis, with the option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in a relevant field (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine).
• Proficient in METs testing and capable of evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Demonstrated experience or training in compensation and pension evaluations.
• Must have an active and unrestricted medical license.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full medical license in the practicing state.
• Current certification from AANP.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
