Setting: Outpatient / Office-Based Practice
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical services across the full spectrum of general internal medicine, including chronic disease management and preventive care. The physician will work collaboratively with clinical and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities

Examine, diagnose, and treat adult patients in an outpatient setting

Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including outpatient HIV care

Evaluate patient health status and implement therapeutic and preventive treatment plans

Make appropriate referrals to specialty and consultative services as needed

Maintain a patient caseload aligned with quality of care and productivity standards

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members regarding patient care

Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Attend required medical staff meetings, conferences, and trainings

Maintain professional competency through continuing medical education (CME)

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer review and chart audits

Supervise and support paramedical and clinical staff involved in patient care

Assist with clinical education and training of support personnel as needed

Report any unusual occurrences or concerns promptly to leadership
Required Qualifications
-
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Completion of an Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Osteopathic Medicine residency program

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active and unrestricted New York State medical license

Ability to provide care to adult patient populations
