Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and relevant certifications in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Ability to perform endoscopic procedures
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Prior locum or temporary assignment experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Flexible availability to work two weeks per month
- Availability for night call coverage post-shift and 24-hour weekend call
- Willingness to perform outpatient clinic duties approximately one day per week (returning to hospital for 12-hour shift)
- Compliance with all hospital and state licensing requirements
- Ability to work overtime after 12-hour shifts; paid accordingly
