Job Summary:
The Internal Medicine Residency at HCA Kingwood is a 90-resident program in its 6th year. We are affiliated with the University of Houston College of Medicine. We have six ACGME-accredited fellowships: Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Critical Care, and Nephrology/Critical Care, and Pulmonary/Critical Care. Approximately 50% of our graduates pursue hospital medicine, many of whom remain at our program or at one of 13 other HCA hospitals in the area.
We are soliciting a 4th Year Chief Medical resident to start on July 1, 2026. The end date will be June 30, 2027.
Responsibilities include:
1. Teaching residents or students in a formal didactic setting
2. Supervising residents in the outpatient resident continuity clinic
3. Assisting program leadership with day-to-day administrative duties including scheduling residents’ didactics or clinical rotations
The program director is committed to helping PGY4 chief residents match into fellowship, if this is a future goal. Interested applicants must be board-eligible for the ABIM and have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program.
