🩺 Position Overview

We are seeking full-time Nocturnist Physicians to join an established, hospital-employed Hospital Medicine program in Troy, NY. This role offers a predictable 7 on / 7 off schedule, strong system support, and a physician-friendly environment with excellent work-life balance.

⏰ Schedule & Practice Details

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 🌙

• 7 on / 7 off block schedule

• No call responsibilities

• Average census: 15–18 patients per physician per shift

• Advanced Practice Providers support the service

🏥 Clinical Environment

• Closed ICU (ICU providers manage ICU patients)

• No required procedures

• Nocturnists respond to codes and rapid responses

• Hospitalists do not manage ICU care

• Well-established, directly employed hospital medicine team

• Supportive leadership and collegial culture

✅ Required Qualifications

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years) in:

  • Internal Medicine or

  • Family Medicine

• New York medical license (or willingness to obtain)

• DEA (or willingness to obtain)

• NPDB Self-Query Report (within last 30 days)

• Clean malpractice/licensure history preferred

• Local candidates within 30 miles cannot be cleared
