Job description
Physician – Internal Medicine (Outpatient)
A large, community-focused health system is expanding its outpatient services and seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to join its growing ambulatory practice. Family Medicine physicians with strong adult outpatient experience are also encouraged to apply.
This is a 100% outpatient role with no procedures, no inpatient responsibilities, and no call, offering excellent work-life balance while serving a diverse adult population.
Position Overview

Adult-only patient population (18+)

Strong emphasis on chronic disease management, acute adult care, and preventive medicine

Practice is based primarily in a community health center setting

Physicians will have a primary clinic location with occasional coverage at nearby sites within the same geographic area

Fully supported by a multidisciplinary care team
Clinical Details

Patient volume: Approximately 3–4 patients per hour

Support staff: Medical Assistants, RNs, care coordinators, behavioral health, and administrative support

EMR: Athena (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient exposure not required)

Inpatient rounding: Not required
Schedule & Workload

Monday–Friday, typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary:
-
~$260,000 (non–board certified)
-
~$300,000 (board certified with 2+ years of experience)

Qualifications
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active or eligible New York State medical license (IMLC accepted)

ACLS certification required

Interest in outpatient primary care and community-based medicine

Experience with Athena or Meditech is helpful but not required
