Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine - Rheumatology Specialist

Are you a dedicated Rheumatology expert seeking a rewarding opportunity in outpatient care? We are seeking a talented Internal Medicine - Rheumatology Physician to provide exceptional outpatient services within a dynamic healthcare environment. This locum position offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient lives.

In this role, you will deliver outpatient Rheumatology care, including intravenous therapies related to vascular medicines, in a hospital outpatient department setting. The position is ideal for local or drive-in providers interested in a longer-term locum arrangement, serving as a vital interim before a permanent physician is appointed.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology within 5 years of residency
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in Rheumatology
  • Excellent communication and patient management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with intravenous therapies
  • Prior outpatient Rheumatology practice
  • Knowledge of hospital credentialing processes and outpatient procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Rheumatology clinical experience recommended

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to go through hospital credentialing
  • Flexibility to work 4-5 days per week (preferred), 32-36 hours weekly, with shift hours typically 7 am to 5 pm
  • Guarantee of 8 hours per day, with overtime requiring clinic manager approval
  • Candidates must be local or willing to drive in; long-term housing support options available
  • Travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable
