Coverage Needed
- Start Date: 02/02/2026
- End Date: 08/01/2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Clinical Details
- Provide a variety of professional medical services to inmates/residents, including examinations, diagnosing medical issues, prescribing medications, and providing treatment and follow-up care
- Direct and lead the medical program in collaboration with the Health Services Supervisor
- Monitor and review operations and standards of care delivered to inmates/residents
- Participate in treatment team meetings to devise, review, and alter individual health plans
- Perform minor and occasional major surgeries, if necessary
- Hold clinics for nursing specialists in diagnosis, treatment, and prescriptions
- Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside provider agencies
- Utilize established corporate, facility, and correctional policies and procedures
- Accept on-call status
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment
- A valid driver's license is required
- US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
- BLS certification that meets compliance requirements
