Coverage Needed
- Start Date: 02/02/2026
- End Date: 08/01/2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Clinical Details
- Provide professional medical direction, oversight, and direct patient care in a correctional facility
- Administer examinations, diagnose medical and other problems, prescribe medications, and provide treatment and follow-up care
- Participate in treatment team meetings and direct unit treatment operations
- Perform minor and occasional major surgery
- Hold clinics for nursing specialists
- Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside provider agencies
- Utilize established corporate, facility, and correctional policies and procedures
- Monitor inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations and facilitate early release when clinically appropriate
- Prepare and maintain a variety of standard narrative, statistical, summary, and/or operational records, reports, and logs
- Accept on-call status
- Attend seminars, workshops, conferences, etc., as required
- Provide health counseling and education on an individual or group basis
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment
- A valid driver's license is required
- US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
- Subject to thorough background and credit investigation for clearance
- BLS that meets compliance requirements
