Provides accessible, affordable care to underserved populations
No billing or overhead responsibility for physicians
Compensation:
Salary range: $235,000 – $340,000 per year
$10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time providers
Eligible for NHSC loan repayment
Eligible for New York State Public Loan Forgiveness
Position Responsibilities:
Provide general medical care to health center patients
Evaluate patient health status and initiate therapeutic and preventive measures
Educate patients on preventive care and wellness
Document patient history, evaluations, and treatments
Perform medical triage
Stabilize emergencies prior to hospitalization
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests
Refer patients to specialists or other physicians when appropriate
