Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (plus call)
Start Date: February 2, 2026
Dates of Coverage: Ongoing
Logistics Covered: Travel & lodging recommendations provided. Malpractice insurance provided
Location: Wausau , Wisconsin
Details:
Practice Setting:
Traditional Family Medicine practice with both outpatient clinic and inpatient responsibilities.
- Patient Volume: 14–18 patients per shift (clinic sees up to 18–20/day)
- Rounding: Assigned patients
- Admissions Required: Yes
- Beds in Department: 0–3
- Call Type: In-house call
- Call Ratio: 1:15
- Callback Rate: 5%
- Admissions per Shift: 0–3
- Documentation System / EMR: Epic
- Trauma Level / Designation: Level II Stroke-Certified Facility
Support Staff:
- 1 RN
- 1 MA
- 1 Office Staff
- No APP supervision required
Patient Population:
- Newborn through geriatric
- (Inpatient pediatric and newborn coverage required)
Locum is Required to Have Experience With:
- General outpatient care
- General inpatient care
- Pediatric and newborn coverage
- Newborn resuscitation
- Well-woman care
- Prenatal care and obstetrics (including vaginal deliveries and C-sections)
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (Required)
- Active Wisconsin license or IMLC (Required)
- Must be comfortable practicing traditional Family Medicine
