Overview :
Seeking a part-time Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Director to join our highly collaborative, patient-centered team. This is a unique opportunity to lead a 10-bed acute inpatient medical rehabilitation unit—the only program of its kind housed within a critical access hospital in Kansas. The role offers meaningful community impact, strong interprofessional collaboration, and competitive compensation.
Position Highlights:
• Part-time leadership role within a high-quality inpatient rehab department
• 10-bed acute inpatient rehab unit with a simulated living suite for OT
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a collaborative, shared-governance environment
• Serve a diverse patient population recovering from illness, injury, and debility
Responsibilities:
• Provide medical direction for the Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Unit
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations
• Collaborate closely with clinical teams to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care
• Support program development and community engagement initiatives
Skills & Qualifications :
• MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, preferably with rehabilitative care exposure
• Active Kansas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and community engagement skills
