Position Overview:

As an Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology physician, you will provide expert medical management to oncology and hematology patients within a fully accredited, multidisciplinary cancer center. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, participate in weekly tumor boards, and contribute to innovative clinical trial programs. This role offers flexible scheduling, including full coverage several days per month, with some weekend call responsibilities, ensuring a balanced professional experience focused on patient-centered care.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Oncology
  • Proven clinical expertise in cancer and hematologic disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Experience with EMR systems, preferably MOSIAQ
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in chemotherapy management and patient education
  • Participation in clinical trials (phase 2 and 3)
  • Experience with radiation oncology integration
  • Bilingual capabilities to enhance patient communication

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completed fellowship in Hematology and Oncology
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in a similar setting

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for scheduled full-time coverage, including some weekend call shifts (24-hour call)
  • Ability to handle consults from emergency departments and respond to patient inquiries
  • Knowledge of EMR MOSIAQ is highly desirable
  • Must adhere to all licensure, certification, and compliance standards
