Locum Tenens Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician
Location: Peridot, Arizona
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Setting: Outpatient Family Practice Clinic – Tribal Community
Housing: Onsite housing available
Pay Rate: $125–$130 per hour, negotiable DOE

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in Peridot, Arizona. This outpatient clinic provides primary care services to a tribal community, offering a meaningful opportunity to deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care in a rural setting.

The ideal provider is dependable, adaptable, and committed to improving the health and well-being of an underserved population. This position could be locums only or locums-to-perm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients across the lifespan

  • Perform routine exams, chronic disease management, and acute visits

  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

  • Deliver culturally competent care to members of the tribal community

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the clinic’s EMR system

Schedule & Logistics

  • Full-time, 5 days per week

  • 8-hour day shifts (no nights, weekends, or call unless otherwise requested)

  • 13-week contract with potential extension

  • Onsite housing provided

Requirements

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

  • Active, unrestricted Arizona medical license

  • Current BLS/ACLS (if required by facility)

  • Previous outpatient primary care experience preferred

  • Experience working with tribal or underserved communities is a plus
