Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Setting: Outpatient Family Practice Clinic – Tribal Community
Housing: Onsite housing available
Pay Rate: $125–$130 per hour, negotiable DOE
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in Peridot, Arizona. This outpatient clinic provides primary care services to a tribal community, offering a meaningful opportunity to deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care in a rural setting.
The ideal provider is dependable, adaptable, and committed to improving the health and well-being of an underserved population. This position could be locums only or locums-to-perm.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients across the lifespan

Perform routine exams, chronic disease management, and acute visits

Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

Deliver culturally competent care to members of the tribal community

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the clinic’s EMR system
Schedule & Logistics

Full-time, 5 days per week

8-hour day shifts (no nights, weekends, or call unless otherwise requested)

13-week contract with potential extension

Onsite housing provided
Requirements

Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Active, unrestricted Arizona medical license

Current BLS/ACLS (if required by facility)

Previous outpatient primary care experience preferred

Experience working with tribal or underserved communities is a plus
