Overview:
A leading healthcare organization in Syracuse, New York is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Director of Hospital Medicine to lead a dynamic hospitalist team and ensure delivery of exceptional inpatient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Hospital Medicine team in a full-time, weekday leadership role

• Provide oversight and guidance for inpatient care delivery and performance metrics

• Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to implement best practices

• Maintain and enhance quality, safety, and efficiency of hospitalist services

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

• Support recruitment, retention, and training within the department

• Use EPIC EMR for documentation and workflow

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 40–50 hours/week

• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

Qualifications:

✅ Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
✅ Active New York license or willingness to obtain
✅ Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting
✅ Clean malpractice and license history
✅ ACLS, BLS, DEA, and PALS required
❌ Not accepting Locum or Visa candidates

Compensation & Benefits:

💰 Competitive salary: $325,000 – $350,000 (based on experience)
🎁 Sign-on Bonus: $25,000
