An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced and dynamic Medical Director of Hospital Medicine to lead a well-established hospitalist team in Syracuse, NY. This full-time leadership position offers an excellent work-life balance with no weekend or on-call duties, along with a competitive salary package of $325K–$350K and a $25K Sign-On Bonus.
This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving excellence in inpatient care.
Job Responsibilities
• Oversee inpatient care delivery, quality metrics, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to ensure best practices.
• Maintain and improve quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Participate in strategic initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization.
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of staff.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation and workflow.
• Maintain a strong leadership presence during day shifts (no weekends or call).
Qualifications
• Active NY Medical License or willingness to obtain — Required
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting — Required
• Clean malpractice and license history — Required
• ACLS, BLS, DEA, and PALS certifications — Required

• Locums candidates not accepted
Working Hours
• No weekends / No on-call
