Job description
An established, community-based healthcare system in Central New York is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join its collaborative inpatient team. This is an outstanding full-time, permanent opportunity offering excellent compensation, work-life balance, and supportive intensivist coverage in an open ICU setting.
Job Responsibilities
No on-call duties
Average census: 12–15 patients per physician
Open ICU with intensivist support (24/7 availability)
Collaborative, team-based environment with subspecialty backup
EMR: Paragon
Non-trauma hospital with modern facilities
Not accepting Locums or visa candidates
Qualifications
Active NY medical license (or willing to obtain)
DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Clean malpractice and license history
Comfortable managing patients in an open ICU
Must be open to full-time, 7-on/7-off schedule
Not accepting Locums, Visa, or 1099 candidates
Working Hours
No on-call duties

Base salary: $250,000 – $275,000 (based on experience)
Starting bonus: $15,000
