Key Responsibilities & Scope of Practice

You will be caring for a predominantly adult and geriatric population, though some middle school patients are seen.

  • Clinical Focus: Chronic disease management, well-woman exams, and some psychopathology.
  • Womens Health: Includes annual well-woman exams, and optionally, IUDs/Nexplanons.
  • Procedural Skills: Opportunity to perform skin biopsies, joint injections, cryotherapy, and womens health procedures.
  • Patient Volume: See an average of 2022 patients per day, with a scheduled working lunch (11:30 am1:00 pm) that includes dedicated administrative time..
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 am5:00 pm (a change to a 4.5-day schedule is under discussion).
  • Call: Light call burden1 in 10 weekends for practice-wide phone call. During the week, you handle your own patients, with very low volume.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience

  • Experience Level: While we would love some experience in areas like Value-Based Care (VBC), coding, and billing, we are fully prepared to train and bring you up to speed.
  • New Graduates: Welcome to apply! We offer robust training, including access to Dr. Berdaes' CME video library.
  • Language: Spanish-speaking skills are highly preferred to serve our diverse patient demographics.

Support Staff & Environment

You will be well-supported by a dedicated team:

  • Medical Assistants (MAs): 1:1 MA support plus a Head MA.
  • Administrative Support: Excellent check-in/check-out and overall admin support.
  • Practice Managers: You'll have support from Carin (covering all three offices) and Bethany (Kingwood location manager).
