Coverage Needed
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 6 months from start date
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Clinical Details
- Provide professional medical direction, oversight, and direct patient care in a correctional facility
- Administer examinations, diagnose medical and other problems, prescribe medications, and provide treatment and follow-up care
- Participate in treatment team meetings to devise, review, and alter individual health plans
- Perform minor and occasional major surgeries, if necessary
- Hold clinics for nursing specialists in making diagnoses, determining treatment, and giving prescriptions and protocols
- Monitor and review operations and standards of care delivered to inmates/residents
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment
- A valid driver's license is required
- US Citizenship required for facility clearance
- Facility clearance takes 3 weeks
