Physicians are needed to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans. This role is non-treatment, primarily interview-based, with some basic physical assessments. Providers must meet location radius requirements or have their own office location.
Job Responsibilities
Perform physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing) as required.
Complete thorough documentation of findings, including addendums and medical opinions.
Ensure accurate, timely, and respectful delivery of services in compliance with VA standards.
Participate in required training and complete DMA certification prior to starting
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Arizona medical license.
Must be proficient in METs testing, respiratory and cardiovascular evaluations.
Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple).
Willingness to complete required DMA training for certification.
No employment conflicts with VA, active duty, or reserve military.
Working Hours
Half-day shifts (4 hours) or full-day shifts (8 hours).
No call, weekends optional.
Skills
Proficiency in non-treatment medical exams and structured reporting.
Ability to work independently in outpatient/office settings.
Knowledge of VA disability and compensation exam standards.
Strong written documentation and report preparation skills.
