Job description
We are recruiting a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician with at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan. This role requires confidence in procedures, urgent care, and outpatient management across adult populations.
📍 Job Overview:

Location: Michigan
-
Patient Load: 1.8 patients/hour (avg. 80/day total with team)

Support: 12-hour APP coverage, full ED support staff, lab, radiology

EHR: Cerner
-
Clock-In System: Kronos (reverse billing required)
🔧 Required IM Skills & Procedures:

Adult outpatient & urgent care
-
Psych care (uncomplicated adult & geriatric)
-
EKG interpretation, central & arterial lines
-
Ventilation management, airway establishment
-
Management of acute BP/volume issues
-
Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis
-
Industrial-related diagnostics
-
Suturing, I&D for minor injuries
💰 Compensation & Travel:

Hourly Rate: Up to $320/hr

Holiday/OT Pay: 1.5x

Travel: Mileage, fuel, hotel reimbursed

✅ Requirements:

Board Certified in Internal Medicine

MI License
-
2+ years of recent Emergency Dept. experience

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
-
Must have clean background
