Correctional Medicine – Leavenworth, Kansas
Opportunity Highlights
- Provide comprehensive medical care in a secure correctional facility
- Perform exams, diagnose, treat, and manage chronic and acute conditions
- Conduct clinical rounds, participate in treatment planning, and oversee nursing staff
- Contribute to unit leadership, policy development, and quality improvement
- Perform minor procedures and oversee specialty clinic activities
- Ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with administration and external providers for coordinated care
- Participate in incident reviews, legal proceedings, and clinical audits
- Full-time position – 40 hours/week | 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
Candidate Requirements
- Board-Certified Physician
- Active Kansas medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Experience or interest in correctional medicine preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a secure facility and multidisciplinary team
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $225,000 – $300,000
