POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Medical Director - Float to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services across multiple states, ensuring exceptional patient care and promoting positive health outcomes. This position requires flexibility with respect to work location and will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

Job Responsibilities
Work Schedule: On average, the job will require 2 weeks a month on-site at one of the clinics and 2 weeks a month working remotely utilizing video telehealth modalities.
Patient Management: Manage a panel of patients, including covering messages for the panel in a timely manner and delivering clinical care.
Documentation: Complete all notes and encounters no later than 24 hours after seeing the veteran.
Collaboration: Serve as a collaborator for mid-level providers as needed.
Chart Review: Responsible for chart review of other physicians and mid-level providers, as necessary.
Training: Train clinic-level providers as needed.
Assistant Duties: Assist the Chief Medical Officer with various tasks and responsibilities as required.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR DUTIES:
Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to clinical teams, ensuring high standards of medical care.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of care provided by the clinical team, including conducting regular chart reviews and performance evaluations.
Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Training and Development: Mentor and train clinic-level providers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Clinical Oversight: Monitor and evaluate clinical practices to ensure they meet the organization's standards and best practices.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer on strategic planning initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in multiple states
Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Basic Life Support for Providers Certification issued by The American Heart Association (to be renewed annually)
Experience with telehealth modalities and remote patient management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to provide clinical leadership

Excellent computer skills
