Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, AR

Join a dedicated team at an established healthcare provider focused on delivering Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments to our nation's veterans.

This position offers flexibility for providers with their own office or those able to work at a local VES facility. The role is vital in providing non-treatment evaluations to support veterans' healthcare needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams.
• Perform separation health assessments.
• Carry out interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with administrative personnel for follow-up work, including addendums and medical opinions.
• Work on a PRN basis with options for half-day or full-day shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in General Medicine or relevant specialty.
• Experience in Compensation & Pension exams preferred.
• Ability to conduct METs testing, and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular issues.
• Proficient with completing evaluations and reports.
• Must possess a current unrestricted medical license in Arkansas.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full license in Arkansas.
• Certification from AANP is required.
• Must complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Ownership of a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
