Locum - Internal Medicine - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum General Medicine Physician in Houston, AR

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to supporting our nation's Veterans through comprehensive Compensation & Pension exams and Health Assessments. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to use your expertise in a meaningful way while working either in your own office or at a designated facility within Houston.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete required documentation and reports promptly, including any necessary addendums.
• Work PRN, with the option to choose between half-day and full-day shifts.
• Participate in training to become DMA certified and fulfill ongoing educational requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, with a strong background in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Owned laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Must possess active and unrestricted medical license.
• AANP certification required.
• Willing to undergo DMA training to attain DMA certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must have an active and unrestricted medical license in Arkansas.
• AANP certification is mandatory.
• Completion of DMA training is required to become certified.
