Locum - Physician - General Medicine in Houston, TX

Join a dedicated team helping our nation's Veterans at a prominent healthcare facility located within Houston, Arizona. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. We are currently seeking General Medicine Providers who are passionate about contributing to the health of our Veterans.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Ensure timely completion of exams and submission of reports, including addendums.
• Participate in ongoing training and fulfill administrative responsibilities related to patient care.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in General Medicine or relevant specialty.
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possess a background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine with experience in compensation and pension.
• Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Arizona.
• Eligible to complete DMA training for certification.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Current and valid medical license in Arizona.
• AANP Certification.
• DMA certification must be attained for the role.
