Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, TX
Join our team as a General Medicine Provider and make a difference in the lives of our nation's Veterans. We are seeking dedicated physicians to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, Arizona. This role offers flexibility with options for per diem work at a VES facility or the convenience of working from your own office. Ideal candidates will be within a 50-mile radius of the designated city. Serve those who have served our country in a supportive and impactful practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Conduct primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions related to exams.
- Work PRN basis—availability for half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- No prescribing or treatment involved.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in relevant specialty.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Ability to complete DMA training and become DMA certified.
- Possess and maintain an active and unrestricted medical license in Arizona.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Arizona.
- AANP certification required.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
