Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Join our dedicated team as a General Medicine Provider, where you'll be instrumental in performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. This opportunity allows for flexibility, with options for per diem work at our facilities or working from your own office.
Our practice is committed to supporting veterans across the country, providing crucial evaluations without the need for prescribing or treatment. Our locations span various areas in California, allowing you to choose what suits your practice best. We are focused on a strong network of care while ensuring quick credentialing and onboarding to get you started.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments (e.g., range of motion testing, muscle strength testing).
- Complete required documentation within designated timeframes, including reports and addendums.
- Manage a personal office for the assessment of veterans where applicable.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain and improve skills applicable to the role.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in General Medicine or related field.
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience with compensation and pension evaluations is preferred.
- Must possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) for documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with veterans during assessments.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Medical License in California.
- Current AANP certification required.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Valid license and certification numbers must be provided during application.
