Job Opportunity: Locum General Medicine Physician in Houston, KY

Join a dedicated team focused on serving our nation’s Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. This role offers flexible opportunities at VES facilities or in your own office if you are located within a 50-mile radius of Houston, Kentucky.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete reports, including any necessary addendums, in a timely manner.
• Manage administrative follow-up work as needed within the designated shifts.
• Utilize your specialized skills in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery to assess Veterans.
• Participate on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating both respiratory and cardiovascular health.
• Ownership of a laptop (preferably not Mac/Apple products).
• Active and unrestricted full medical license in Kentucky.
• AANP certification is required.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted medical license in Kentucky (required).
• Current AANP certification (required).
• DMA certification completion required (must be willing to undertake training).
