Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing comprehensive care to our nation's Veterans in Houston, Louisiana. This facility offers a unique opportunity to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a supportive and professional environment. The ideal candidate will engage directly with Veteran patients, ensuring their health needs are met with respect and understanding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments, with some physical evaluations including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports for each evaluation, including any required addendums.
- Availability for PRN shifts, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) sessions.
- Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine.
- Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular issues.
- Experience with compensation and pension assessments is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Louisiana.
- AANP certification is required.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified is necessary.
