Locum - General Medicine Physician

Join our team as a General Medicine Provider and make a significant impact in the lives of our nation's Veterans. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in various locations including Houston, Maine. You will have the flexibility to work from your own office or from designated facilities. Our practice is dedicated to providing high-quality care for Veterans, and as part of our team, you will collaborate closely with a network committed to supporting those who served.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct compensation and pension examinations, including interviews and physical assessments such as range of motion testing.
• Perform separation health assessments as required.
• Complete necessary documentation and report submissions in a timely manner.
• Engage with patients primarily through interview-based assessments; no treatment or prescribing involved.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and local regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Ability to work independently and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

License and Certification Requirements

• Active and unrestricted full medical license.
• AANP certification is required.
• Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
• A laptop (non-Mac/Apple products) is required for documentation and reporting.
