Locum General Medicine Physician Opportunity in Houston, MI

Join a dedicated team helping our nation's Veterans! This position involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country.

Located in Houston, MI, this practice provides essential healthcare services to Veterans in a supportive environment, ensuring their unique needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for ½ days (4-hour) or full days (8-hour).
• Complete required administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics.
• Maintain an efficient and responsive practice tailored to Veterans' distinct healthcare needs.
• Engage in quick credentialing & onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Possess a laptop (non-Mac or Apple products).
• Current AANP certification.
• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid medical license in Michigan (MI).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible status preferred.
