Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team in providing essential care to our nation's Veterans! This practice is based in Houston, Montana, offering a flexible locum opportunity for General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation and Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments.
Our facility operates with a commitment to serving Veterans, allowing providers to conduct assessments either from a local VES facility or their own office. Current needs include care in Havre, Harlem, or Malta for two days per week. Enjoy the flexibility of choosing between half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts with quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams.
- Perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment; focus solely on evaluations.
- Complete required reports and addendums in a timely manner.
- Be available for a PRN (as needed) basis, while also having the option to work specified days.
Qualifications
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Possess a laptop (no Mac or Apple products).
- AANP certification is required.
- Must hold an active, unrestricted medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification.
License and Certification Requirements
- Active medical license in Montana (MT).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible status.
