Locum - General Medicine Physician
Join a dedicated team of healthcare providers as we seek General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to serve those who have served our country, across Houston and surrounding areas.
Our practice aims to provide thorough evaluations in a supportive environment, with options for working either from your own office or from a local facility. We welcome both established providers and those new to the field, encouraging a collaborative spirit focused on veteran care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams.
- Perform Separation Health Assessments with a focus on interview-based evaluations.
- Administer physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment involved.
- Complete exams, submit reports, and handle necessary addendums within allocated time frames.
- Engage in ongoing PRN work, with options for half or full day shifts.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Medicine.
- Proficient in METs testing, respiratory, and cardiovascular evaluations.
- Ability to perform the required physical assessments.
- Experience with Compensation and Pension exams is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted medical license in North Carolina.
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple) to complete evaluations.
- Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
