Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, NC
Join a dedicated team at one of the leading facilities committed to serving our nation's Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. Whether you work at a VES facility or in your own office, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare of Veterans.
Our practice offers flexible scheduling and quick credentialing. With ongoing, as-needed opportunities, you can choose to work either part-time or full-time hours to fit your schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct PRN examinations for Veterans, focusing on Compensation & Pension and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Complete and submit comprehensive exam reports, including any required addendums.
- Strictly adhere to the scope of practice: no prescribing and no treatment.
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of services through feedback and communication.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in relevant specialty.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery is preferred.
- Must have own office for seeing patients, if working independently.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted physician license in North Carolina.
- AANP certification required.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Current home address must be supplied for presentation.
