Locum - Internal Medicine - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum General Medicine Physician

Join a dedicated team serving our nation’s Veterans in Houston, Nevada. This opportunity is ideal for General Medicine providers looking to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. You can choose between working at a VES facility or at your own office, providing the flexibility needed to balance your professional and personal life.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based assessments along with physical evaluations including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Submit detailed reports post-exams, ensuring all addendums are included.
• Provide care on a PRN basis, with the option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
• Work closely with Veterans to ensure quality evaluations without the need for prescribing or treatment.
• Complete DMA training to become DMA certified as required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple).
• AANP certification is required.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted full medical license.
• Willingness to complete any additional training to meet certification standards.
• Experience in family or internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active medical license in the state of practice.
• AANP certification.
• Must complete DMA training for certification.
