Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine

Join us in providing vital healthcare services to our nation's Veterans in Houston, NV! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and perform Separation Health Assessments. This role offers flexible working opportunities, either in a VES facility or from your own office, ensuring you can serve Veterans while managing your schedule effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams, including some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Quick credentialing and onboarding to begin work promptly.
• Work on a PRN basis, with the option to choose either half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
• Engage and support Veterans in a respectful and compassionate manner.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a background in general medicine.
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Active and unrestricted full medical license.
• AANP certification required.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Must provide a current home address for presentation.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must hold a valid medical license in the state of Nevada.
• Certification by the AANP is mandatory.
• DMA certification will be required post-hire.
