Locum Physician - General Medicine

Join our dedicated team in Houston, Texas, providing essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. Our practice is committed to serving those who have served us, operating with care and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Submit thorough reports including any necessary addendums.
• Maintain compliance with administrative tasks related to examinations and reports.
• Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) as needed.
• Provide evaluations without prescribing medication or treatment.

Qualifications:

• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Experience in conducting Compensation and Pension exams is preferred.
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluations related to respiratory and cardiovascular health.
• Access to a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full medical license.
• Certification from AANP.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
