Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine in Houston, SD

Join the mission to serve our nation's Veterans! We are seeking dedicated General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position offers the flexibility of working either at a VES facility within a 50-mile radius of your home or at your own office if located within the required area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams on a per diem basis.
• Perform Separation Health Assessments.
• Primarily interview-based examinations with some physical assessments (e.g., range of motion testing, muscle strength testing).
• No prescribing or treatment involved; focus solely on evaluations.
• Complete required reports and addendums efficiently.
• Available to work ½ days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Medicine with experience in General Medicine.
• Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted medical license.
• AANP certification required.
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Experience with Compensation and Pension preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must have an active and unrestricted full license to practice medicine.
• AANP certification is mandatory.
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
