Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, TX

Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers working within a facility that focuses on Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. This opportunity is perfect for those who are passionate about making a difference while working on a per diem basis. With options to work from a facility or your own office, you can choose a flexible work environment while serving those who have served us.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Compensation and Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments.
  • Perform interview-based exams with minimal physical assessments.
  • Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
  • Engage with Veterans and assist in their health evaluations non-invasively.
  • Complete required training and onboarding efficiently.
  • Work the option of ½ days (4-hour shifts) or full days (8-hour shifts).
  • Maintain compliance with all protocols and procedures associated with the role.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in METs testing, respiratory, and cardiovascular evaluations.
  • Possess a valid and unrestricted Texas medical license.
  • AANP certified.
  • Experience in General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Orthopedic Surgery preferred.
  • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
  • Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
  • Have a current home address listed in your CV for presentation purposes.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
  • Certification from AANP is required.
  • DMA certification is required after completing additional training.
