Job Opportunity: Locum General Medicine Physician
Join a team dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans as a General Medicine Provider in Houston, Texas. This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Whether you prefer working at a facility or in your own office, you can make a significant impact in the lives of Veterans in your community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Primarily perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary reporting, including any addendums and medical opinions.
- Work on a PRN basis, with flexibility to choose half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- No prescribing or treatment required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty such as family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine.
- Proficient in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Ability to perform METs testing.
- Experience with Compensation and Pension evaluations is a plus.
- Must possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
- AANP Certification.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
