Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Join a prestigious facility located in Houston, TX, offering crucial services to our nation’s Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. As a part of an essential government contractor helping veterans, you'll play a pivotal role in improving the lives of those who have served.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct PRN Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based assessments along with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative tasks such as adding addendums and drafting medical opinions.
- Work flexible hours; options for half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting of exams completed.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a compatible laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Active and unrestricted full medical license is required.
- AANP certification is required.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current medical license number.
- Certification number.
- DMA certification status.
