Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine

Join our dedicated team as a General Medicine Provider performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in the vibrant community of Houston, Illinois. This position offers the flexibility of working either from a local office or a designated VES facility, making it ideal for professionals looking to serve our nation's Veterans while enjoying the comforts of their practice.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with minimal physical assessments, such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
• Complete necessary reports, including any required addendums, in a timely manner.
• Conduct exams for Veterans in your own office or at a designated facility, adhering to geographic requirements.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain up-to-date best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted physician license.
• AANP certification is required.
• Prior experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Must have a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active physician license in applicable state.
• AANP certification.
• Willingness to complete DMA training to become certified.
• Current home address verification is required for presentation.
