Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Join our mission to serve those who have served us! We are seeking dedicated General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. Our practice facilities offer two flexible coverage options: you can either provide care at a VES facility or from your own office located within a 50-mile radius of listed cities. Our operations are centered in Houston, TX, where our headquarters are located, but our service spans across various locations to meet the needs of our nation's Veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary documentation and submit reports, including any addendums.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain qualifications.
- Opportunity to work ½ days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
- Provide care on a PRN basis, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Possess a personal laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- AANP certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold a valid medical license.
- AANP certification is mandatory.
- DMA certification is required after training completion.
