Locum - General Medicine Physician

Join a dedicated team providing essential support to our nation's Veterans! Based in Houston, Oregon, this opportunity allows providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Candidates can choose to work at a local facility or from their own office while serving the veteran community.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams, including separation health assessments.
• Perform interview-based exams complemented by physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Submit thorough reports detailing examination findings and recommendations.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
• Maintain open communication and collaboration with Veterans Evaluation Services.

Qualifications

• Proficient in METs testing, including evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Ability to work independently in an office setting.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care for veterans.

License and Certification Requirements

• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Current certification from the AANP.
• Completion of DMA training is required to obtain DMA certification.
