Job Title: Locum General Medicine Physician
Join a dedicated team in Houston, Oregon, providing essential health services to our nation's Veterans! This opportunity involves performing Compensation and Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments. This position can be fulfilled either in a per diem VES facility or in your own office, depending on your preference and availability. Our organization prides itself on quick onboarding and credentialing, ensuring you're ready to make a difference swiftly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments, with some physical evaluations including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Document findings and submit reports including any necessary addendums.
- Work on a PRN basis with the flexibility to choose half-day or full-day shifts.
- Collaborate with Veterans to evaluate their health needs without prescribing medications or providing treatment.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in METs testing; ability to evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- AANP certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted medical license.
- Willingness to undergo DMA training for certification purposes.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active medical license in the applicable state.
- AANP certification must be current.
- Completion of DMA training is necessary prior to practice.
