Locum - Internal Medicine - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, OR

Join an innovative practice dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans in a supportive environment. This opportunity involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments at either a designated VES facility or your own office within a 50-mile radius. We are looking for compassionate General Medicine Providers to join our team and make a difference.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Provide examinations on a PRN basis; work half or full days based on availability.
• Maintain a collaborative approach while ensuring no prescribing or treatment takes place.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
• Prior experience with Compensation and Pension evaluations preferred.
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery is highly regarded.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted medical license required.
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• AANP certification is mandatory.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification is required.
