Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine

We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in the vibrant city of Houston, Virginia. Our facility is committed to delivering quality care and support to those who have served.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and perform physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and health assessments for Veterans.
• Document findings and submit reports promptly, including any necessary addendums.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for ½ days and full days (4-8 hours).
• Ensure compliance with all organizational protocols and maintain a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular illnesses.
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
• Successful completion of AANP certification.
• Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted medical license is mandatory.
• AANP certification is required.
• DMA certification is required after completion of training.
