Job Opportunity: Locum Physician in General Medicine
Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers performing crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, Virginia. This role is part of a nationwide effort to support our nation's Veterans through efficient and compassionate healthcare.
Facility Overview:
This position offers two flexible coverage options — you can work per diem at a designated facility or operate from your own office. Whether you're a local provider or have your own practice, your contributions will make a significant impact on the lives of Veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative follow-up tasks related to exams, including reports and addendums.
- Collaborate with Veterans on potential health concerns while providing comprehensive evaluations.
- Utilize your expertise in general medicine to assess and diagnose patients with various medical backgrounds.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted full medical license (required).
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Proficiency in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Possession of a laptop (PC only; no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current medical license number (required).
- AANP Certification (required).
