We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Primary Care in Georgia.
Locum Tenens Physician - Primary Care
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Primary Care
Location: Georgia
Shift: Day shift (hours may vary as early as 7 AM - 7 PM)
Start Date: ASAP, ongoing through June 2025
End Date: June 2025
Position Details:
- Outpatient public service clinic
- Serving homeless and underserved populations
- 10-12 patients per day
- Patient population: primarily adults
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff: 6 mid-level providers
- Required Procedures: Must be comfortable performing pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals
- No call, no in-house codes, and no ED backup
Additional Details:
- Provider will treat both children and adults (some experience with HIV care is helpful)
- Must be willing to be trained to work with HIV patients and Integrated Behavioral Health, though this will not be a primary responsibility
- Familiarity with treating medically underserved and immigrant populations preferred
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly preferred
Requirements:
- Active GA license and DEA
- Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (IM preferred)
- Graduation from a state-approved medical school with a focus in FM or IM
- Minimum 5+ years of experience post-training
- BLS certification required
- Local candidates only
- Experience supervising professional staff or administrative experience is a plus
