GardaWorld Federal Services (GWFS) will be supporting the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to reduce staffing shortages across the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in order to increase access to care for Veterans. This includes on demand clinical and non-clinical services, to fill emergent staffing needs. The VHA predicts an annual need at medical facilities and community-based outpatient clinics, domiciliary (home) care, nursing homes and other sites of care.

We're looking for a medical professional who studies, diagnoses, and treats illness, injuries, and other ailments. They have knowledge of medical ethics, human anatomy, pharmacology, and other specialties depending on their field. Physicians provide preventative care, detect developing health problems, and give advice to help patients develop healthy habits. Physicians are also known as doctors or medical practitioners.

Job Responsibilities

- Conducting thorough medical assessments and physical examinations to evaluate patients' health status and identify any underlying medical conditions.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, to aid in the diagnosis and management of illnesses.
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on patients' medical history, symptoms, and test results, and adjusting these plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
-Prescribing medications, therapies, and other interventions to alleviate symptoms, manage chronic conditions, and promote healing and recovery.
-Educating patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
-Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.

Qualifications

Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges: Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
